PINELLAS DUI BLOG: Two Clearwater Residents Die In High Speed Motorcycle Crash As DUI Investigation Continues

The St. Petersburg Times is reporting that the two people who died in a high-speed motorcycle accident are both residents of Clearwater. Daniel Rivers and Starr Knotek were thrown from a 2004 Suzuki motorcycle while speeding around a curve and losing control of the bike.
According to police reports Knotek was pronounced dead at the scene and Rivers was taken to the hospital where he died. While police are blaming the high-speed as a cause in the accident, they are also investigating the possibility of DUI playing a role.
